2019 Chinese Business Law LL.M Candidate Ji Yoon Park joined KCAB as the Chief Representative of the Shanghai Office

Ji Yoon Park, our 2019 LL.M candidate of LL.M. Program in Chinese Business Law, has officially been appointed as the Chief Representative of the Shanghai Office of Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) since August 2020. Established on March 22, 1966, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board brings together experts from the fields of law, finance and commerce to provide flexible, efficient, cost-effective arbitration and other dispute resolution services to solve domestic and international commercial disputes. KCAB is one of the major international commercial arbitration institutions in the world.

Ji Yoon Park graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree in Administrative Management. She said that her interest in arbitration began with the LL.M. program in Chinese Business Law at Fudan Law School. During the accumulated one-year course, she gradually developed a strong interest in Chinese Commercial Law and Arbitration Law. With the recommendation of Professor CHEN Li, Ji Yoon won the valuable opportunity to practice in Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), and her outstanding performance in SHIAC was fully affirmed by the supervisors. During the pandemic period, she started her apprenticeship at the International Arbitration Center of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board and accumulated valuable practical experience in arbitration. After appointed as the chief representative in Shanghai Office, Ji Yoon Park expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Fudan Law School, and her honor and proud to be a Fudan law student.

The LL.M. Program in Chinese Business Law, one of the two international degree programs offered by Fudan Law School, was launched in 2010. In the past ten years, the program has cultivated a group of outstanding foreign legal talents who are familiar with Chinese Business Law and have made contributions to Sino-foreign cooperation and exchanges.
