Fudan International Law Professors Attended the Meeting of Trilateral Conference Series in University of Hamburg, Germany

From 4 April 2018 to 7 April 2018, the meeting of trilateral conference series, “Recent Issues in (Public) International Law: Perspectives from Australia, China and Germany”, was held by University of Hamburg, Germany. More than twenty experts and scholars from University of Hamburg, and Macquarie University and Fudan University took part in the conference. The conference focused on the three specific topics: Human Rights Law and Migration, International Environmental Law and International Economic Law. Prof. LU Zhian, Prof. MA Zhongfa and Prof. GONG Baihua delivered China reports respectively on “Right to Development and Development with Human Dignity”, “International Legal Regime of Environmentally-sound Technology Transfer for Protecting Environment” and “The Key Issues of China-EU Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT)”. The reports ignited further discussion among the participants and aroused interests against the issue and opinion brought by Chinese scholars. Dr. WANG Wei, Professor of International Law of Fudan Law School, who will stay at University of Hamburg and conduct the research for one month, also attended the meeting.

After the Meeting, the University of Hamburg, the conference holder talked with the participants on the future trilateral cooperation. The competent foreign department of University of Hamburg also took part in the aforesaid discussion.
