The Fudan Law Vis Moot Team has secured a brief-writing honor at the 15th annual Willem C Vis East International Arbitration Moot (Vis East Moot) held in Hong Kong, March 12-16, 2018.

The team consists of Wang Yun’er (LLM’20), Zeng Jing (LLM’20), Pan Wenjing (JM’19), Peng Yayuan (PhD’21), Guan Jiequan (LLB’18), Cao Xiaoyue (LLB’19), Hu Qiankang (LLB’19) and Jiang Yiling (LLB’19).

This year's competition brought together more than 120 teams from across the globe, including 17 teams from mainland China. Judging was performed by some of the world’s leading arbitrators, arbitration practitioners, and academics. The team received an Honorable Mention for Best Memorandum for Respondent, a first for Fudan Law School.

The team is most appreciative of Professor Chen Li, Associate Professor Lu Zhi’an, Dr. Ban Tianke, Dr. Tu Yunxin, and Dr. Chen Li for their invaluable guidance throughout our preparation for the competition. International student Yu Qianqian provided excellent language tutorial for the team. Credit also goes to law school seniors, Fan Ruohong, Song Zhaoyi, Xu Huan, Pan Minyang, Xie Guangyu, He Nina and Wu Xi for taking time off their busy schedules to assist us.

This signal achievement is testimony to Fudan Law School’s ironclad commitment to providing unrivalled resources to nurture students to excel in the study of law as well as economics and English language.
