SHEN Hao

Dr. Hao Shen is an Associate Professor at the Law School of Fudan University and a Fulbright Scholar. His research primarily focuses on environmental law, law of the sea and climate law. He has published extensively in leading international law journals, including International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, Journal of Environmental Law, Ocean Development and International Law, and the Journal of Natural Resources and Energy Law (SSCI-Law, Q1).

He has authored  (and co-authored) several books, including Study on the Sharing Mechanism of Deep-Sea Resources Beyond National Jurisdiction, Study on the Law of Deep-Sea Seabed Resource Exploration and Development, and Environmental Justice and Administration in the Context of Climate Change. He has led or participated in sub-projects under major research initiatives funded by the National Social Science Fund and has undertaken commissioned projects for institutions such as the Ministry of Natural Resources’ China Ocean Affairs Administration, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment’s Environmental Planning Institute, and the Shanghai Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau.

In recognition of his academic contributions, Dr. Shen was selected for the Shanghai Young Legal Talent Pool in 2023. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several prestigious international journals, including International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics; Journal of Environmental Law; Territory, Politics, Governance and the SpringerBriefs in Law series.
