On March 3, 2021, Dr. Jiangqiu Ge gave an online talk organized by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa "NOVA Consumer Talks Series". He was an invited speaker on the theme "E-Commerce in the European Union and China". Dr. Jorge Morais Carvalho of Universidade Nova de Lisboa moderated the event.

Dr. Ge's talk focused on "China’s E-Commerce Law and Its Approach to Regulating Customized Search Results". The invited discussants were Natália Galvão Veiga Rebelo, Academic Researcher of NOVA Consumer Lab, and Professor Geraint Howells, Executive Dean and Established Professor of College of Business, Public Policy and Law of NUI Galway.
