On November 21, students from Fudan law school visited the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC) , as a part of their course, Chinese Commercial Arbitration, taught by Professor CHEN Li. Both students of LL.M. in Chinese Business Law program and Dual Degree JM program took part.

Mr. Shen Bin (Director of Case Management Department), Ms. Fan Jiayu (Arbitration Secretary) and Mr. Li Tingwei (Arbitration Secretary) gave a splendid lecture on rules, missions and recent development of SHIAC. The students had a heated discussion with experts over latest issues in arbitration, and gained understanding of the arbitral procedure and responsibility of arbitrator.

Through the years, SHIAC endeavors to promote the internationalization of arbitration. Parties from more than 70 countries and regions have participated in arbitral proceedings administered by SHIAC. Awards of SHIAC have been recognized and enforced in nearly 50 countries and regions.

SHIAC has provided students with an exceptional opportunity to have grasp the essence of arbitral practice in China. All students are encouraged to enrich their knowledge of arbitration and to actively participate in relevant events held by SHIAC in the future.
