The 33th representative assembly of Chinese Society of International Law was held in Beijing on May 19th-20th, 2018. With the topic of this annual meeting --“New Era, New Mission: To Build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”, 16 subtopics have been warmly discussed among more than 300 international law scholars, experts and practitioners coming from universities, research institutions and governments all around the country.

Students of Fudan Law School, WANG Yiran and ZHAO Siyu, were granted to the 2018 Boldness in International Law Award of Chinese Society of International Law during this meeting. The Boldness in International Law Award（namely, the Best Student Paper Award）aims to stimulate young students to further study, research and devote themselves into international law, which has extensive influence on international law academia in our country. Specifically, the paper titled “The Status and Role of NGOs participating in International Governance on Antarctic” of WANG Yiran (Mentor: Prof. CHEN Li) won the First Prize of the award, and the paper titled “Research on Rotating the Retaliation List in WTO Retaliation Regime” of ZHAO Siyu (Mentor: Prof. LU Zhian) won the Third Prize of the award.

In addition, Prof. ZHANG Naigen, Prof.MA Zhongfa and student YANG Zhongjing were invited to deliver speech on this annual meeting. The titles of the presentations, respectively, were “Several International Law Issues on Incorporating the Idea of a Community of Shared Future for Mankind into Constitution”, “Studies on Publicization of Private Legal Act in International Trade” and “Analysis on the Promotion of the Judicial Cooperation between China and Thailand under the Belt and Road Initiative by the Approval of Hague Convention on the Choice of Court Agreements.”
