Academic Luncheon at Fudan Law School

Beginning this fall term, Fudan Law School (FLS) students are able to join the Academic Luncheon and exchange thoughts with professors during their the lunch break.


On Tuesday, November 21th, 2017, Professor WANG Zhiqiang hosted over 60 faculty and students for a newly featured event: FLS Academic Luncheon. Professor Wang, a keynote speaker who reflected on scholarly research  and discussed topic regarding"State Power Structure and Judicial Reasoning". Professor DUAN Housheng was invited as a guest speaker for the session. Most students found the experience extremely rewarding.

Professor XIONG Hao and Professor DU Yu hosted the next Luncheon event on December 19th, 2017. They held a heated discussion concerning the topic of "The Typology of Mediation and its Roots of Philosophy" with over 30 students and faculty.

The Academic Luncheon is designed to strengthen the connection between university faculty and students by providing an opportunity for them to interact in a less formal environment, outside of the class. Students favored the unique experience to enjoy lunch while learning legal knowledge,which is helpful to their academic and professional development. Furthermore ,the event encourages the flow of ideas and enhances interdisciplinary experience among faculty.
