HOU Jian
HOU JIAN is a professor and doctoral tutor at Fudan Law School. The main areas of research are jurisprudence, communication and internet law, education law, and human rights law. The main research results include 4 books, more than 50 articles, and 5 translations. He won the second prize of the outstanding research achievements of Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences, the third prize of papers, the third prize of Deng Xiaoping Theory Research and Propagation Outstanding Achievements, and the Excellent Paper Award of the Jurisprudence Research Society of China Law Society.
Professor Hou teaches courses such as "The Basic Theory of Law," " jurisprudence" and "Human Rights and Law." Published academic works include monographs on “Study on Public Opinion and Reputation,” “Legal Principles of Freedom of Expression,” and “Humanistic Legal Trends,” more than 40 papers and four translations. 2004 and 2005 Law School undergraduates graduated with the title of “Good Teacher in My Mind”, 2008 Shanghai Outstanding Young Teacher Award, 2009 Shanghai Yucai Award, 2015 Fudan University Undergraduate Teaching Contribution Award.
